How do you handle stress in a given situation?

Answering this question by continuing that ,the stress is an important issue. While the high levels of pressure can be harmful, I use stress in a more productive way that which will allows me to work harder at times. It is important for me to make sure that ,i have the balanced positive and negative stress. You can also answer the question by stating my performance is better when i am under reasonable states of stress.

What motivates you mostly?

This question doesn't require an answer which is right or wrong. The interviewer is trying to see how well you are motivated. It's also a method that,they will use to determine if you are a suitable for the job. It does not make much sense for you to put you in a position where you will not be comfortable by the work you do. The best way to give answer to this question as ,to being honest in reply. Let the interviewer know what makes you more motivative. Don't try to tell them what they want to hear because you are trying to get the job. While this maybe useful in the short term, but hurt in the long run.

Do you prefer to working alone, or in groups?

This question requires a bit care full answer. Depending up on the criteria ,If the position which applied for needs to work alone, it doesn't make much sense to answer it by saying you enjoy working in groups. But ,if the position needs you to work in groups, by telling the interviewer that working alone can will keep you from being hired. However, it should be a honest answer.

Explain an example of a challenging situation which you have overcome.

For this type of question it requires you to know your self . If you have already prepared for the interview, you should be able to answer this question without any problems. You should emphasis on your past work experience. You should be quick in thoughts to think about any challenges you have overcome. It must not have to be something that is which related to the employment. If you have been in to the army services, you can describe a challenge you had overcome. If you are a student doing graduation, you can tell an example of any academic challenge you have successfully overcame

What do you found interesting about this job?

The answer would you give should better be more than just a salary. You should be able explain complete reasons for why you are interested in being hired for a particular position. For Answering this question precisely it may require you to do some research on company. This is to be done before the interview starts.

Why should we hire you?

As this is one of the most difficult questions in phase of interview process. However, it's a good question, particularly when you are competing for a position against people who are well equally qualified as of you. The best answer for this question, will be describing how your skills can be valuable to the company. You should directs towards your accomplishments, and also demonstrate the personality and desire. Be practical in expressing things as you are impressed with the history of the company, and you want to be a part to play in the success of the organization.

While answering the questions consider some of the following points.

  • Tell your name followed by which place you are from. For example you are "James Corner", then do not start with "Myself Williams", start with "I am Williams". As it's a very common mistake which most people do. Talk about your family (be Brief), you can also talk about as how you came to the city, etc.,
  • Tell them about your education i.e. graduation/post-graduation. If you are a fresher then tell them the grades you got. Apart from education ,If you have done something different then tell them. Its an added advantage
  • Tell about your total experience. Start gradually from the early years to recent years. If you have a long experience then you shouldn't be doing same thing all years. Then exactly what you were doing? This is what the interviewer wants in you. If you are a fresher then talk about your projects.
  • Experience pertaining to the post you are looking for: This will be of most interest to your interviewer. You may be having lot of experience but how much experience pertaining to current job post is most important. If you don't have one then you can talk about some related experience. And, if you neither have related experience too then say it clearly.Along with it give them confidence that you can do it .Fresh candidates who do not have any kind of experience, must show some positive attitude and exhibiting willingness to learn new things.
  • Its better not to describe salary or pay scale unless it is asked.
  • Limiting to unnecessary information. Give value to the interviewer's time.
  • The best answer should not long more than a minute.
